Our philosophy –
the learning factory

The future belongs to the learning factory – this is the place where no mistake is made twice and continuous improvement is part and parcel of everyday life.

What does our vision for the future look like?

In the future, we see a transformation from the digital factory to the learning factory. The American forecaster John Naisbitt said: “We are drowning in information but starving for knowledge.” In the digital factory you pool a host of information. It is a complete model of the real factory and real processes.

In the learning factory we turn this information into insight and knowledge that can be used. In the learning factory, no mistake has to be made a second time. Processes and steps can be improved for good. A cycle emerges into which the insight and knowledge of each and every employee can flow.

In the future, we want to make this step towards the learning factory possible for as many small and large businesses as possible. This does not just require good tools, but also methodological support and advice, because “If you don’t know where you’re headed, you won’t be able to find the way”.

What does the learning factory mean for you?

You develop your products quickly. Innovative ideas emerge. You check, analyze and optimize your production and logistics systems before real production even starts so that once it does, it all goes without a hitch.

When production is under way, you have track of everything and quickly detect problems and their causes. You test possible solutions virtually, before you implement them. The operators on the shop floor document their corrective steps with ease and developers and planners have this information immediately, too.

No knowledge in the product life cycle gets lost any more. No mistake is made twice. Your factory is in a closed feedback loop and gets better every day – your factory learns!

That is our vision of the learning factory. And we have the tools and the methods you need to make this vision a reality.
