iFAKT GmbH, based in Stuttgart, offers process planning and simulation software, services and consulting for small and large manufacturing companies.
What is our background?
Our goal is to enable every manufacturing company – whether large or small – to get the best out of their factory. As the first step towards this goal, in 2001 iFAKT founders Jörg Drees and Lars Schubert developed a new approach to factory planning. Back then, there were only very complex and costly solutions for planning and simulating manufacturing processes and only large businesses could take advantage of their benefits. Drees and Schubert, at the time working as consultants at the leading provider of these complex solutions, recognized the lack of tools for medium-sized companies. Both were convinced that this had to change. They wanted to develop software and methods that can be employed quickly and easily, adjusted flexibly and are inexpensive.
What do we offer?
Today, the idea of high-performance and yet inexpensive tools is reality and iFAKT is the first provider to offer process planning and simulation software for rental on the internet. Our digital factory processes, methods and tools are used by leading companies in the automotive, aviation and supply industry as well as small and medium-sized businesses Europe-wide. We have managed to develop quick and simple tools which make our customers’ work easier and gain them time for planning and validation.
How do we work?
iFAKT works unbureaucratically according to the principles of agile software development and so can be faster, more flexible, more innovative and closer to its customers than many traditional software developers. We actively follow how technologies continue to develop and test their potential use for our purposes. This has led us, for instance, to use innovative touch-screen devices and to test the use of hand-helds and smart phones.
We also maintain our cutting-edge thanks to our status as a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for the competency ISV/Software Solutions. This means we can always integrate the latest Microsoft technology into our products. Our software is always up-to-date and the user interfaces are already familiar to our customers from the standard Office products.
To ensure that we always have our finger on the pulse of the current issues in the manufacturing industry, we stay in close contact with universities and our experts serve on committees. In our day-to-day contact with customers, we see first-hand the problems and demands manufacturing companies face on a daily basis today. Our products are developed further each day in collaboration with our customers.
Our offices are located in Stuttgart, in the direct vicinity of the airport. This puts us not just at the heart of the manufacturing industry in Baden-Württemberg; it also means we can reach all our customers easily in Germany and Europe.
